ELAND ANTELOPE    

 

Native of South and Eastern Africa. The largest of the antelope species, a mature Eland bull can reach 1600 pounds. Ours are Livingston Eland, one of the few herds in the US. This subspecies of Eland do not turn as “blue” when mature.

The make a very large mount. The meat is excellent, beef like but much leaner.
